He briefly reviewed the list and recalled that the council <br /> ."" 70 discussed the appointments at their recent work session. <br /> 71 <br /> 72 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the appointments as presented. Council Member Stoesz <br /> 73 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br /> 74 <br /> 75 3B) Appointment of Katie Larsen to City Planner position—Administrator Karlson explained <br /> 76 that staff is requesting appointment of a new city planner to fill a vacant position. The individual he <br /> 77 is presenting for appointment, Ms. Katie Larsen, was chosen from a large pool of good candidates. <br /> 78 <br /> 79 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the appointment of Katie Larsen to the position of City <br /> 80 Planner. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on unanimous voice vote. <br /> 81 <br /> 82 3C) Resolution No. 13-04, Defining Council Members as Employees for Purposes of the <br /> 83 Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA)—Administrator Karlson noted that the <br /> 84 council discussed and reviewed this matter at their recent work session. Language within the <br /> 85 resolution has been clarified since that discussion. He added that the subject of the resolution is data <br /> 86 practices and its purpose is to define council members as employees only for consideration of the <br /> 87 MGDPA. The city attorney has opined that all that is needed is a resolution for such definition. <br /> 88 <br /> 89 Council Member Roeser moved to approve Resolution No. 13-04 as presented. Council Member <br /> 90 Rafferty seconded the motion. <br /> 2 <br />
