Consider Resolution No. 12-74,Approving Supplemental Authorization for Engineering
Services
Community Development Director Grochala explained that the resolution before the council would
authorize supplemental engineering services related to the projects. The firm of TKDA would provide
services outside the scope of the original contract for the projects. Staff is working with Anoka
`.240 County and the city engineer to review the supplemental work and have noted in the report project
work that they would recommend payment for at this time.
Council Member Rafferty suggested that the matter requires further review and he recommends that
the action be referred to a work session for that review.
Community Development Director Grochala noted two items-that have already been approved through
the joint powers agreement with Anoka County. He is recommending that the council could authorize
those payments that are straightforward. He does understand the council's need for a review of
additional costs.
Mayor Reinert noted the city's tight budget and that added costs aren't necessarily what was approved
by the citizens.
