Charter Commission <br />January 11, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />DRAFT <br />46 <br />47 October 12, 2007 -Commissioner Trehus referred to line 44 and corrected the sentence to <br />48 read, "Commissioner Trehus stated he had invited the Commission, Community <br />49 Development..." <br />50 <br />51 Commissioner Trehus referred to line 46, correcting the sentence, "because of staff <br />52 attending a meeting..." <br />53 <br />54 Commissioner Storberg referred to line 150 correcting the sentence by adding "for <br />55 discussion," after the word "seconded." <br />56 <br />57 MOTION by Commissioner Trehus, seconded by Commissioner Carlson, to approve the <br />58 October 12, 2007 meeting minutes as amended. Motion carried unanimously. <br />59 <br />60 CD's of Minutes <br />61 <br />62 Commissioner Dahl stated that she offered to supply a CD with the meeting minutes in a <br />63 PFD format to any Commissioner at no charge, in addition to a copy for the closet. <br />64 Commissioner Duffy noted that for a copy of the packet and minutes the cost was $7.00. <br />65 <br />66 Chair Warren indicated the PDF format could not be changed, and it was a great service <br />67 she was offering. <br />68 <br />69 Commissioner Trehus stated he would like a copy of the CD. <br />70 <br />71 OLD BUSINESS <br />72 <br />73 A. Road Reconstruction and Staff Discussion (Staff) <br />74 <br />75 Chair Warren tabled this item because there was no staff present. <br />76 <br />77 <br />78 Chair Warren stated that the Commission issued an invitation to address the Charter <br />79 Amendment with Council and City Staff. After several phone calls, there were concerns <br />80 about the meaning of the response. The City Administrator noted the specific staff could <br />81 not supply the depth for the project to go forward. The State and Charter requirement <br />82 details needed to be understood by the Council and Commission. He recommended a <br />83 training session for the Commission, staff and Council. <br />84 <br />85 Commissioner Trehus noted he disagreed with points a -d in the material the City <br />86 Administrator gave for denying access to information. Commissioner Bening indicated <br />87 he believed it was an acceptable response, and was in favor of a joint meeting. If Council <br />88 wanted a change, they could propose it. <br />89 <br />90 <br />
