Memorandum
Date: July 6, 2006
To: City Council
From: Gordon Heitke
Re: Caroline Dahl Request for Information
Just prior to sending out the meeting packets, Caroline Dahl contacted staff to request
information on the following topics.
1. Road Reconstruction and Council Response
There is no new information to share at this time. As indicated in the April 7 memo included
in your previous meeting packet, no projects are planned to be on the ballot this November.
2. Five -Year Plan Response
As indicated in the July 7 memo, the Council is analyzing the long term financial impacts of
some existing policies and practices. Once the Council determines what policy changes are to
be made, if any, those changes will be used in the completion of the Five -Year Financial Plan.
A City Council financial workshop, which included the involvement of the city's financial
advisors and auditor, was held on June 13. The second session will be held the week of July
17.
3. Quality of Life Survey
A copy of the public presentation of the survey results were distributed to commission
members at its last meeting. There have been no direct activities related to the survey results
as of this time. It is expected to be used extensively in future planning activities.
