<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: April 10, 2017 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 17-26, Approving Change Orders No. 1 <br />& 2, and Final Payment No. 8, for the Construction of Well No. 6 <br />Pump House <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting council consideration to Approve Change Orders No. 1 & 2, and Final <br />Payment No. 8, for the Construction of Well No. 6 Pump House. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The original contract for construction of Well No. 6 Pump House was in the amount of <br />$756,400.00. There were two change orders for a net increase of $10,080.29. Change Order No. <br />1 included a deduct to change the chlorine scale from electronic to hydraulic. Change Order No. 2 <br />was for the construction of a retaining wall and deducts related to City furnished materials and <br />minor plan changes. <br /> <br />The final amount earned by the contractor for this project is $766,480.29. The final payment to <br />Rice Lake Construction Group is in the amount of $50,595.91. <br /> <br />The final construction costs are under the construction budget of $877,113.00. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 17-26, Approving Change Orders No. 1 & 2, and Final Payment No. 8, <br />for the Construction of Well No. 6 Pump House in the amount of $50,595.91 to Rice Lake <br />Construction Group. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
