121
Appendix F Minnesota Mitigation Planning Review Aid

The requirements crosswalk used in previous guidance to evaluate plan is replaced with the Local Mitigation Plan Review
Tool found in FEMA’s Local Mitigation Plan Review Guide, October 2011.

This review aid is provided to planners to assist with the development of local multi-jurisdiction mitigation plans.

FEMA’s Mitigation Plan Review Tool lists all of the elements but not the requirements as in the previous crosswalk.
Section 1: Planning Checklist of this aid lists the requirements under each elem ent for easy reference. The planner should
indicate the location of the plan to indicate where the requirement is met.

All jurisdictions participating in the mitigation planning process must show evidence of participation in Elements A thru E
of the Regulation Checklist. The Multi-Jurisdictional Summary Sheet from FEMA guidance was edited for use by planners.
The summary sheet is a way to track participation by jurisdiction.

HSEM asks that a Minnesota Mitigation Planning Review Aid is completed when the plan is sent to HSEM for review. A
completed aid will facilitate the state review by illustrating how requirements were met.

Jurisdiction:
Anoka County, MN
Title of Plan:
Anoka County Multi-Jurisdictional
All Hazards Mitigation Plan
Date of Plan:
May 14, 2012
Local Point of Contact:
Ryan Kelzenberg
Address:

Title:
Emergency Management Specialist
Agency:
Anoka County Emergency Management
Phone Number:
763.323.5264
E-Mail:
Ryan.kelzenberg@co.anoka.mn.us
State Reviewer:
Jim McClosky
Title:
Mitigation Planner
Date:
5/22/12
