COUNCIL MINUTES October 10,2011 <br /> APPROVED <br /> 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> 2 MINUTES <br /> 3 <br /> 4 DATE : October 10, 2011 <br /> 5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. <br /> 6 TIME ENDED : 7:20 p.m. <br /> 7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br /> 8 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br /> 9 MEMBERS ABSENT : Council Member Gallup <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br /> 12 Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> 13 <br /> 14 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 15 <br /> 16 No one was present to address the council regarding a matter not on the agenda. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Dr. Keith Dixon, Superintendent of the Centennial School District—Dr. Dixon distributed written <br /> 25 information and spoke to the council about the statistics of the school district, the state of the district <br /> 26 and the district's partnership with the City of Lino Lakes. He also mentioned the levy question that <br /> 27 will appear on the fall ballot and he encouraged people to vote and to get the facts on the question. <br /> 28 Dr. Dixon also noted the district's decision to vacate space at city hall that has been used for an early <br /> 29 childhood learning facility; the decision to move is based on the district having other owned space <br /> 30 available making it inappropriate to lease space. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1H with the <br /> 35 exception of Item 1 E. Council Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 ITEM ACTION <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Consideration of Expenditures: <br /> 40 <br /> 41 October 10, 2011 (Check No. 91702- <br /> 42 91926, $203,583.57) Approved <br /> 43 <br /> 44 September 26, 2011 Council Work Session <br /> 45 Minutes Approved <br /> 1 <br />
