COUNCIL MINUTES October 10,2011 APPROVED 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES 2 MINUTES 3 4 DATE : October 10, 2011 5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 6 TIME ENDED : 7:20 p.m. 7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member O'Donnell, Rafferty, 8 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert 9 MEMBERS ABSENT : Council Member Gallup 10 11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael 12 Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell 13 14 PUBLIC COMMENT 15 16 No one was present to address the council regarding a matter not on the agenda. 17 18 SETTING THE AGENDA 19 20 The agenda was approved as presented. 21 22 SPECIAL PRESENTATION 23 24 Dr. Keith Dixon, Superintendent of the Centennial School District—Dr. Dixon distributed written 25 information and spoke to the council about the statistics of the school district, the state of the district 26 and the district's partnership with the City of Lino Lakes. He also mentioned the levy question that 27 will appear on the fall ballot and he encouraged people to vote and to get the facts on the question. 28 Dr. Dixon also noted the district's decision to vacate space at city hall that has been used for an early 29 childhood learning facility; the decision to move is based on the district having other owned space 30 available making it inappropriate to lease space. 31 32 CONSENT AGENDA 33 34 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1H with the 35 exception of Item 1 E. Council Member Roeser seconded the motion.
