The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at <br />8:13 P.M., Wednesday, February 21, 1979 by Chairman Gourley. Members present: Gourley, <br />Heath, Reinert, Johnson, Shearen, Schwankl. Members absent: Mattson. Mr. McLean, Council <br />liason was also present. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the minutes of the January 17, 1979 meeting. Mr. Shearen <br />seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean's Report <br />Mr. McLean reported Council actions on the Planning and Zoning Board recommendations of <br />Janauary 17, 1979. He reported that the rezoning hearing for El Rehbein and Son was held <br />February 12, 1979 and the rezone accepted. The hearing for the Oak Knoll plat was held <br />February 12, 1979 and the plat was accepted. <br />Peter Scherer <br />Mr. Scherer explained the Park Board is presently trying to prepare a City wide compre- <br />hensive Park Plan and asked if three or four members of the Planning and Zoning Board <br />would meet with the Park Committee on Tuesday, February 27, 1979 to help initiate this <br />Plan. Mr. Johnson, Mr. Heath, Mr. Reinert and Mrs. Schwankl will try to attend this <br />meeting. The Clerk is to send pertinent information submitted by City Planner Short to <br />these P & Z members prior to this meeting. <br />Variance - Peter Scherer <br />Mr. Sherer has requested a variance to transfer title on a piece of property of less than <br />the required 2t .acres. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to recommend to Council this variance be granted. Mr. Shearen seconded <br />the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Rezone - Roger Kolstad <br />Mr. Kolstad and Mr. Tagg requested that a parcel of land located in Lot #13, Auditors <br />Subdivision #138 fronting on Lake Drive be rezoned to commercial. The front 300' is <br />already zoned commercial. <br />Mr. Gourley questioned the requested zoning and asked if light industrial would be more <br />appropriate. He also felt the size of the parcel did not meet the Ordinance, it must be <br />three acres. <br />Mr. Kolstad said he could change the size to meet the Ordinance and get a signed Certifi- <br />cate of Survey and change the zoning designation before the next Council meeting. He <br />asked if the Board could recommend approval with the above stipulations. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to recommend to Council approval of the request to rezone the parcel <br />subject to receipt of a signed Certificate of Survey, the acreage be brought up to three <br />acres and the entire three acres be zoned "light Industrial" and all other materials <br />are in order. Mr. Shearen seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Plat - John Blomquist <br />Mr. Blomquist and Mr. Hill presented a preliminary sketch plan for the SWZ of Section <br />#36. Mr. Hill explained the reason for this particular layout. <br />Mr. Gourley asked if the Counties had been contacted with respect to any future plans <br />for County Road "J". Mr. Hill said no. <br />
