-Page Three - <br />July 19, 1978 <br />Mr. Vernon Lehman was in the audiance and --asked if he could have a long driveway. Mr. Gourley <br />told him he would need a variance if the driveway was over 300' long. <br />Mrs. Schwankl asked what is the position of the proposed sump -pump and drain ordinance. Mr. <br />McLean said it is only a suggestion at present. The Clerk was asked to obtain a copy of <br />White Bear's Ordinance regarding sump -pump's and drain tile and send copies to the Planning <br />and Zoning Board members for study. The Clerk was asked to place this item on the next a- <br />genda. <br />Mr. Hill asked what is the status of the City Park system. Mr. McLean explained that nothing <br />great other than the routine upkeep is being done at present. Lino Park has a good start, <br />City Hall Park is being landscaped by ma+erials off of adjoining property. The City has ob- <br />tained 22 acres off of 7th Avenue on Lake Reshaneau which will probally have a beach and a <br />boat landing along with picnic facilities. He suggested that the City should be looking for <br />Park property and possible fire service on the east side. <br />Mr. Hill asked about the/house at Sunrise Park and was told it will be torn down after Mrs. <br />Billik leaves. <br />Mr. Gourley explained his problems with getting on the Blaine Planning and Zoning Board. <br />He felt the Lino Lakes Board is most agreeable. Mr.Mattson said he had experiences with Hugo <br />and Lake Elmo Planning and Zoning Boards and agreed with Mr. Gourley. <br />Mr. Hill moved to adjourn at 9:45 P.M. Mrs. Schwankl seconded the motion. Motion declared <br />passed. Aye. <br />P.S I charle.,d with White Bear Township and the City of White Bear and neither municipality <br />has any ordinance regarding sump pumps and drain tile. White Bear Township's Building <br />Inspector said they do`require both- and everyone is complying. <br />
