Page -3-. <br />May 17, 1978 <br />Mr. McLean said he had contacted the Metro Open Space regarding Otter Lake Regional Park. <br />Apparently the Open Space people are dissatisfied with this City's position regarding the <br />Park and there will probably be further meetings. <br />Mrs. Schwankl said she has heard that many people in the community are unhappy with the <br />dictatorship tatics of Metro Council. <br />Mr. Gourley said he did not feel the City should bend to all the Metro Council demands. <br />Metro Council, DNR and other state and federal agencies are interferring with our liberties <br />at alarming frequency. <br />Mr`. Reinert said he feels the environmental movements has come from outside but sees a change, <br />local people are organizing and becoming more aware. Most of these issues will come to a <br />point of negotiation. <br />Mr. Gourley felt that sometimes we tend to be lead to easily. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to adjourn at 9:40 P.M. Mrs. Schwankl seconded the motion. Aye. <br />
