Page -5-- <br />could be zoned to industrial. <br />April 19, 1978 <br />Mr. McLean noted that the State has not notified the Cities of their plans regarding <br />billboards. At one time the State asked each municipality to submit their Sign Ord- <br />inance to them for State Certification. Lino Lakes submitted their ordinance but never <br />received notice of certifiacation. To his knowledge no sign ordinance has ever been <br />certified. <br />Mr. Hill moved to recommend to the Council that the Council send a letter directly to the <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation, District #9, Oakdale, attention: Mr. Charles <br />Burrill and ask that he come and explain the State Ordinance regulating billboards and <br />ask him for State certification of our Sign Ordinance submitted approximately four <br />uears ago. Mr. Shearen seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. <br />Plat - Carole's Estates 2nd Addition - Menkveld <br />Mr. Menkveld presented a sketch for a proposed plat of 35 acres with 30 lots. <br />The Board reviewed the plat and asked that he prepare a preliminary plat. He was told <br />he would be placed on the May 17, 1978 agenda. <br />Mr. Shearen moved to adjourn. Mrs. Schwankl seconded the motion. Aye. <br />
