Page -4- Janaury 18, 1978 <br />The Clerk was instructed to set a special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board for <br />February 8, 1978 at 8:00 P.M. to complete action on this matter. <br />Variance - Dorothy Maki <br />Mrs. Maki has requested a variance to split her lot on the corner of Sunrise Avenue and <br />Glenview Street. The certificate of survey was attached to the variance request and the <br />required fee was paid. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to recommend approval of this variance. Mr. Shearen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Kennel License - Dwayne Myrvold <br />Mr. and Mrs. Myrvold have requested a kennel license but have not appeared in person <br />before this Board either in December or January. <br />Mr. Shearen moved to forword this matter to the Council for appropriate action. Mr. <br />Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Old Business <br />Mr. Gourley asked the Board if they would like to record an official position on the <br />Jonathan Home for Boys at the former Hensel Farm located in the Anoka County Regional <br />Park. <br />Mr. Reinert moved that the Planning and Zoning Board support the Council in their effors <br />to insure that the Park lands be used as originally intended, Open Space. Mr. Shearen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />New Business <br />Mr. Gourley noted that Twin City Truck Maintenance has moved a trailer in and are using <br />it as an office. Mr. Hill asked if this was contrary to the City ordinances. He was <br />told, No. <br />After discussing the parking of trailers outside of a trailer park, Mr. Hill moved to <br />request that Attorney Locher submit a suggested ordinance regulating the parking of <br />trailers outside of a trailer park. Mr. Hills motion was not seconded. <br />The Clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Locher to prepare an ordinance regulating the park- <br />ing of trailers outside of trailer parks for the February Planning and Zoning Board meet- <br />ing. <br />The matter of bulding pole buildings on lots less than 10 acres was discussed. It was <br />determined that ordinance #56 restricts the size of the building sufficiently. <br />The Clerk was instructed to have Mr. Locher respond in writing on the question, "Can <br />a land owner sell a lot of less than 10 acres with a pole building on it? Could the <br />City end up with a number of one acre lots with very large pole buildings on them?" <br />Mr. McLean explained that all outgoing board members will be receiving plaques noting <br />their service to the City. <br />Mr. McLean asked the Board to view the residence of LeRoy Houle. He has a lot of mat- <br />erial stored outside of his pole building and may be in violation of his special use <br />permit. <br />
