Page -2- December 21, 1977 <br />Mr. Shipp said, No. Mr. McLean said it might be a good idea to talk to them. <br />Mr. Shipp was told he would be placed on the January 18, 1978 agenda. <br />Mr. McLean asked the Clerk to check with Mr. Gotwald regarding the exact width of <br />the road easement into this property. <br />Mr. Gourley said that Mr. Locher in his letter of December 21, 1977 pointed out <br />the need to update the Ordinance regarding the parking of trailers in areas out- <br />side of trailer parks. He asked this be placed on the January agenda as w(bll as <br />the erection of pole buildings on small residential lots. <br />Rohavic Oaks <br />Mr. Rosenthal and his associates were advised that they should attend this evening <br />but did not know why. The Clerk was instructed to check with Mr. Sarner to see <br />what is tbe,next steop in finalizing their plat. <br />Mr. Joe Jullie - Jonathan Homes for Boys <br />Mr. Jullie said he was here to ask for a special permit to put a seventh bed in <br />the home for boy they are going to occupy in the Anoka County Open Space area, <br />the former Hensel farmstead. He said the boys range in age from 13 years to 18 <br />years old and have family or school problems. There will not be any boys there <br />with drug problems or other severe problems. <br />Mr. McLean asked if any of the boys will come from the MMTC. Mr. Jullie said there <br />could be some who will need additional counceling before going to a foster home. <br />Mr. Jullie said arrangements are being made to include the bous in the Centennial <br />School system or in some type ow work. There are no; ties with the Open Space pro- <br />gram at present for jobs. He expects each boy will spend about 9 months or a year <br />at this residence.. <br />Mr. Gourley asked about the previos experience of Jonathan Home for Boys. Mr. <br />Jullie said they are a 'Blue Ribbon' program and have been in existence for Seven <br />years and are funded about 75%by Federal Grants. The boys will all come from the <br />Anoka County area. <br />Mr. McLean explained to Mr. Jullie that the City has not been approached regarding <br />this home and are currently asking questions to determine exactly what is happen- <br />ing. Mr. Jullie said they have been working with the County seriously for about <br />the past 8 or 9 months to establish this residence. <br />The Clerk was instructed to check with Mr. Locher to see how the City authorizes <br />the seventh bed in the residence. <br />The Clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Gotwald to check with PCA on what is the con- <br />trol on building a storage tank at the proposed Feed -Rite site. <br />The Board adjourned at 10:00 P.M. <br />
