Page -2- <br />June 15, 1977 <br />Midtaune's Green Acre plat was considered and he was told to continue with his plann- <br />ing. <br />Mr. Charles Nelson had presented a request for a variance to split a lot in Pine Vista 1 <br />A special meeting was set for May 31, 1977. <br />United Tire requested,a variance for a building constructed to close to the road right <br />of way. The variance was approved. <br />Mr. McLean noted the Planning and Zoning Board had requested comments from the City <br />Engineer and Planner regarding Mr. Roland Ford's request for a land fill permit. <br />The two sign permit applications were returned to the Building Inspector for further <br />information. <br />The checklist for platting procedures were approved with added recommendations. <br />Mr. Scherer's request for a Special Use Permit was considered by the Council and app- <br />roved subject to receipt of a report from Mr. Gotwald. <br />Variance - Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tauer <br />Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tauer had presented a request for a variance to split a lot they <br />own on Lake Drive. Mrs. Tauer had brought the legal description in tonight. Mr. Nadeau <br />felt two legal descriptions were needed since two lots were being created. Mr. Gourley <br />noted that both legal descriptions were on the legal survey. Mr. Nadeau moved to re- <br />commend approval of the variances based on the legal description provided and that a <br />legal description be provided for each lot for the next Council meeting. Mr. Karth <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Tauer paid for the second var- <br />iance this evening. <br />Shenandoah 111 - Mr. Glenn Rehbein <br />The Clerk read the recommendations of the City Planner and Engineer. Mr. Reinert felt <br />that the extra long cul - de - sac would provide the City with costly maintenance pro- <br />blems. Mr. Rehbein explained the type of curbing planned for that street and said he <br />felt this type eliminated a considerable amount of maintenance. <br />Mrs. Schwankl moved to recommend approval of the plat with the exception that the Board <br />does not concur with the Planners recommendation regarding the length of the cul-de-sac <br />and recommend that a publi hearing be set. Mr. Karth seconded the motion. Motion carr- <br />y iAl, o -r+ c l <br />ied unanimous) . <br />Charles Nelson = Variance <br />Mr. Nelson has requested a variance to divide Lot 6, Block 1 in Pine Vista 1. The lot <br />is owned by Mr. Craig Johnson and had acquired additional property to the south so that <br />each lot would be at least one acre in size. Mr. Gourley noted that two lots are being <br />created and two certificates of survey and two fees are needed. Mrs. Schwankl moved <br />to recommend approval of this variance providing both fees and a legal description iS <br />provided for each lot. Mr. Nadeau seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Midtaune Plat <br />There was no one present from Midtaune Reality and the plat was not considered. <br />
