A report prepared with assistance from the city's labor consultant, Springsted, <br /> 23 is before the council for approval. <br /> 24 When a council member asked staff for an explanation of the vast range of compliance- <br /> 25 some salaries seem very far under and some over—Mr. Tesch explained that the data base <br /> 26 for positions is state wide and the formula used very complex and the result can be a wide <br /> 27 range. He is comfortable with submission of the report unless the council questions the <br /> 28 state requirement. <br /> 29 Item 3B) and Item 3C), Consider Memorandum of Understanding regarding L.E.L.S. <br /> 30 Local 299 (police officers) current labor agreement (Postponed 1/11/2010), and <br /> 31 Consider Memorandum of Understanding regarding L.E.L.S. Local 260 (police <br /> 32 sergeants) current labor agreement (Postponed 1/11/2010) - Acting Administrator <br /> 33 Tesch noted that these two unions have agreed remove the language concerning no layoffs <br /> 34 in 2010. <br /> 35 Item 6A), Consider Resolution No. 10-06, Approving Anoka County Agreement for <br /> 36 Residential Recycling Program —Environmental Coordinator Asleson noted that this <br /> 37 item relates to the annual agreement the city enters with Anoka County to receive funding <br /> 38 and to run a recycling program in the city. The council confirmed that the amount of funds <br /> 39 received mostly covers the city's recycling program costs including some staff time. The <br /> 40 council suggested that they are interested in expanding the "recycle day" program from just <br /> 41 one day per year and they'd like to see the cost of such an expansion discussed at budget <br /> 42 time. The council was also informed that a dumpster is made available at the recycling <br /> 1 <br />
