- Page Four - April 21, 1976 <br />There was discussion of the special use permits now on record and <br />how many are still valid. It was suggested an inquiry form be <br />drawn up to be mailed to all special use holders now in the files. <br />If the property has changed hands, the permit is automatically <br />cancelled. The Clerk will prepare this form for Board consideration <br />A letter from Mr. Phil Lewis of WCCO had been received explaining <br />the delays in the approval for the tower they plan to construct in <br />Lino Lakes. He asked an extension of the special use permit until <br />the aniversary date in 1978. After some discussion, Mr. Nadeau <br />roved to recommend to the Council approval of this request. <br />Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Gourley and Mr. Hill had gone over the Comprehensive Land Use <br />elan and marked some ares they felt should be changed and updated. <br />The Clerk was instructed to type these notes Indicating the pages <br />and suggestions, and mail to all members for study. <br />Zr. Jim Lowell, who lives on Birch Street, told the Board he would <br />like to see the Ordinance governing the keeping of bees changed. <br />He felt the amount of acreage was not important since bees range <br />far from the hive. He felt that rather than acreage, the Iimit <br />should be on the number of hives that could be kept. <br />Mr. Gourley said the Ordinance is not designed to protect the bees <br />but to protect the people from the bees. <br />After some discussion, it was suggested to Mr. Lowell he write his <br />suggestions as to the changes he would like considered and present <br />this to the Board for consideration. <br />Mr. Lowell agreed to do this and said he felt he was responsible <br />for the bees regardless how many acres of land he has or the number <br />of hives. He asked to be put on the agenda for the May meeting. <br />Mr. Shearen moved to adjourn at 11:25 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Karth. <br />Aye. <br />
