Consider Pay Equity Report-Acting City Administrator Tesch reported that, based on the <br /> 67 Pay Equity Act passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1984, the city is required to report regularly on <br /> 68 pay equity within the city's salary structure. A report prepared with analysis done by city consultant <br /> 69 Springsted is before the council for consideration of approval. <br /> 70 <br /> 71 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve the Pay Equity Report as presented. Council Member <br /> 72 Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br /> 73 <br /> 74 B) Consider Memorandum of Understanding regarding L.E.L.S. Local 299 (police officers) <br /> 75 current labor agreement (Postponed 12/28/2009)-Acting Administrator Tesch reported that <br /> 76 although this agreement with the city's police officers does not expire until the end of 2010,the city <br /> 77 asked that it be reopened in order to consider options to deal with the city's smaller budget for 2010. <br /> 78 The union has agreed to forego their three percent cost of living increase until the first day of the last <br /> 79 pay period of the year. They have also agreed to remove language relating to no layoffs in 2010. <br /> 80 <br /> 81 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the memorandum of understanding as presented. Council <br /> 82 Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion adopted on a unanimous voice vote. <br /> 83 <br /> 2 <br />
