- Page 3 - December 17, 1975 <br />Mr. Kelling questioned Mr. Baber about the possibility of Ramsey <br />County reimbursing Anoka County for the tax loss on that property <br />for at least the next five years and Mr. Saber felt this could <br />be arranged. <br />Mr. !Ceiling moved to recommend approval of this sale to the Council <br />provided Anoka County is informed of the intent of Ramsey County <br />Open Space and Ramsey County Open Space reimburses Anoka County <br />for the loss of tax revenue on this property for the next five <br />years. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hill and carried unanimouslt <br />A sign application from the United Tire Company for the 'Phillips <br />66" sign was considered. Mr. Karth read the specifications from <br />the application and a note from Mr. Amundsen, Building Inspector, <br />that he had inspected and approved this sign. Mr. Shearen moved <br />to recommend approval of this sign application. Seconded by Mr. <br />Gourley. Motion carried unanimously. <br />A 'Pabst Blue Ribbon' sign located at the Aragon Ballroom has no <br />permit. Mr. Quinlan, the owner, had been notified of the necessitL. <br />for an application but it had not been received. Mr. Amundsen has <br />also inspected this sign and it passes his inspection. Due to the <br />lack of an application, Mr. Shearen moved to table consideration <br />of this sign until January, 1976. Seconded by Mr. Kelling. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Lee Robinson appeared before the Planning and Zoning Board <br />requesting a variance to Ordinance 21A in the transfer of title on <br />a parcel of property of less than 2J acres. This land is located <br />directly in back of Lot 6, Block 1, Robin Acts. The current <br />owners are James and Linda Spear and William and Mary Spear. The <br />parcel of land is 100x150 feet and the use will be for a garden <br />and extension of the present lawn. Mr. Robinson has reserved a <br />33' easement along the West line of the property for future <br />street purposes. <br />Mr. Hill moved to recommend to the Council approval of this <br />variance. Seconded by Mr. Shearen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Kelling moved that both parcels of land be combined into one <br />description. Seconded by Mr. Shearen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />There was no old business. There was no new business. <br />Mr. Short said that he had talked with Mr. Starr and had an idea <br />of the procedure for working with the Planning and Zoning Board <br />and some of the things that would be required of him. Mr. Starr <br />had also said that he would assist Mr. Short. <br />Mr. Shearen asked Mr. Short's past experience in the field of <br />planning. Mr. Short said that he had only been with Beckman Yoder <br />Associated since his graduation from the University of Minnesota <br />in June of 1975. He had worked with the Ramsey County Open <br />Space Program while in school. Mr. Short had also worked for <br />private firm in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He felt that he had been <br />
