OCTOBER 15, 1975
! / b l" 1 is
The Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was called to order by Chairman
Karth at 8:10 P.M. on October 15, 1975. Members present: Kelling, Nadeau,
and Houle. Absent: Gourley, Shearan and Hill.
The minutes of the September 17, 1975 meeting were approved on motion
by Mr. Kelling, motion seconded by Mr. Houle.
The first item for discussion was the proposed Twin Cities
to be located east of Skyline Autobody on Highway 8.
Mr. Karth asked Mr. Miles Stenberg and Mr. Steven Yingling
type of business are they proposing for this Location.
Sparkle Wash
just what
MrStenberg replied that it is a Mobile Truck Wash and that they
not be doing any washing at that location. They will got out to
customers location and do the work there. The building they are
will be for storage only.
will
the
proposing
Mr. Kelling asked if they would have any trouble compling with the
Planner's recommendations, which are as follows:
1. The parking area should be modified to reflect the
150' Lake Drive right-of-way and the requirements
of Ordinance No. 56 which stipulates a 15' separation
between the parking lot and the road right-of-way.
2. Soil conditions in the area may require special
attention to building foundations and on-site sewage
disposal. This will have to be reviewed by the
Engineer.
3. Because of the adjacent house, landscape screening
may be appropriate along the east side of the
building and the parking area.
4. Efforts should be made to combine the access to
Sparkle Wash with the drive that services Skyline
Auto Body and Restoration Enterprises.
Mr. Karth asked if they will be doing any filling of any kind, if so what
type.
The gentlemen replied that they would be filling but would only use good
clean fill, not junk fill like cement. They said the land was not level
in some spots that would require the fill.
Mr. Karth questioned if their plans would involve the pond to the rear
of that lot and was told that they did not go back that far. This
would eliminate the need for the Rice Creek Watershed District to get
involved.
Mr. Kelling moved to recommend to the Council that this building be
allowed providing that the owners meet all recommendations of the
Planner and Engineer.
Mr. Nadeau seconded the motion. Motion carried.
