Dec. 23, 1974 <br />Page Three <br />cost for 1975 would increase to $7757.13. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the Lexington <br />Fire Contract for 1975 with the removal of that particular <br />paragraph. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Munson requested the Council to appoint a Council member to <br />serve as liasion to the Lexington Fire Department. He also <br />reported that as of the first of the year, he will be the Fire <br />Chief and a party will be given for the retiring Chief on Feb. <br />8, 1975. All Council members are invited to attend. <br />Mr. Munson informed the Council there will be a vigrous training <br />program in 1975. He will keep them informed of the activities. <br />He thanked the Council and said a copy of the contract will be <br />sent as soon as it is retyped deleting the paragraph requested. <br />Mr. Jaworski felt that the Centerville Contract should conform <br />with the Lexington Contract. He moved to approve the Fire <br />Contract with Centerville, deleting the same paragraph in that <br />contract. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />`:-'he Law Enforcement Contract with Centerville was discussed. It <br />had been retyped with changes in the makeup of the Advisory Boa -^d. <br />It now reads 'one Citizen or Councilmember from Centerville'. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this contract. Seconded by Mr. <br />Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Bohjanen had received a letter from the Anoka Comprehensi•:e <br />Health Department dealing with the establishing of home for <br />handicapped persons. This prohibits zoning in order to restrict <br />establishing these homes. <br />A copy of this letter is to be mailed to all Planning and Zoning <br />Board members and Mr. Marier. <br />There weal discussion on the proposed Suburban Rate Authority <br />Joint Powers s Agreement . The Council felt that this _.s another <br />layer of gi p.=ern t and a duplication of sers'i ces and thereby <br />• nnec sr,:ery. <br />Hr. Marie-, moved to 11r.ss a Resolution declining membership in <br />this orginazation. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried <br />iinanimous ly . <br />r. Jaworksi asked if there had been any progress on the contract <br />with th. Metro Sewer Board. Mayor Bohjanen said that he had <br />been unable to contact Mr. Dougherty. The Clerk had also <br />placed several calls without results. <br />Mr. Jaworski suggested a letter stating the figure required by <br />the City for hauling the sewage. <br />
