1/16/74 <br />Page Two <br />The sign application by Mr. Robinson was -considered. This is a <br />metal sign erected an two 4x4 post. The old A&L Sod sign will be <br />removed in the Spring. Mr. Robinson said that he had not renewed <br />the permit for that sign. Mr. Karth asked when the permit expired. <br />The Clerk reported that all sign permits in the City expire on <br />December 31st of each year. Mr. Karth said if the permit is not <br />renewed, then the sign should be removed. Mr. Robinson said that he <br />could not remove the sign during the winter. Mr. Karth said either <br />remove the sign or have the permit renewed. <br />Mr. Shearen moved to recommend to the Council approval of the sign <br />application #131 for A&L Sod. Seconded by Mr.Kelling. Motion carried. <br />The Clerk reported that Mr. Carlson had called about property located <br />on Old Highway ##S just North of the Freeway. He would like to use the <br />existing buildings for a tool and die shop. The general feeling of <br />the Board was that this is Commercial and if he conforms with the <br />Ordinances there should be.no problems. The Board would request that <br />he appear before them just to let them know what is going on and to <br />answer any questions he might have. The Clerk will relay this infor- <br />mation to Mr. Carlson. <br />There was some discussion on the progress of the Comprehensive Land <br />Use Plan. This plan has gone through the Physical Development <br />Committee and will be heard before the full Metro Council on January <br />24, 1974. <br />There was no new business. <br />Mr. Kelling moved to adjourn at "s45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Shearen. <br />Aye. <br />
