LINO LAKES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />AGENDA ITEM 4 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />MEETING DATE: May 28, 2013 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 13-05, Approving 2013 Minnesota <br />Laws, CH. 73, Section 10, Conveyance of Tax Forfeited Land, <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Board consideration of a resolution to approve the special legislation that <br />was approved by the State of Minnesota providing for the conveyance of the Legacy property <br />to the City of Lino Lakes Economic Development Authority. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The EDA and City Council authorized the preparation of special legislation to provide for <br />conveyance of the tax forfeited Legacy property in February of 2013. The legislation was <br />signed into law on May 20, 2013. Both the EDA and County of Anoka must approve the <br />legislation and file a certificate with the Secretary of State prior to the law taking effect. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 13-05 <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
