CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION November 22,2010 <br /> APPROVED <br /> 44 conditions of the city were met. He feels it would be appropriate to amend the city's <br /> 45 animal control regulations (in the city code)to address that situation. The matter will be <br /> 46 discussed at the next regular work session on December 6. <br /> 47 Review Regular Agenda—The entire agenda was reviewed; directions were given on the <br /> 48 following items. <br /> 49 Item 3A,2011 City Fee Schedule—City Clerk Bartell explained that the schedule <br /> 50 containing most of the city's fees is adopted on an annual basis in the form of an <br /> 51 ordinance. The council questioned if the liquor investigation fee has been updated and <br /> 52 Ms. Bartell responded that staff intends to bring the liquor fees forward for consideration <br /> 53 early in 2011; the renewal period isn't until June/July. The council indicated that they <br /> 54 would be further reviewing the proposed fee schedule at the December work session. <br /> 55 Item 4A,Dangerous Dog Appeal—Chief Strege reported that the dog ruled dangerous at <br /> 56 the November 8 council meeting has bitten again. The department recommends that the <br /> 57 dog be destroyed; the dog owners have appealed that decision and will be addressing the <br /> 58 council. <br /> 59 Item 6B, Off-Road Vehicle Riding Facility—City Planner Smyser explained that a <br /> 60 property owner in a residential zoning area has created a racing/riding track in their yard. <br /> 61 Area residents have complained about the riding of motorcycles at this track. Staff <br /> 62 consulted the zoning ordinance and the city attorney and subsequently informed the <br /> 63 property owners that the facility is not an allowed use. That determination is being <br /> 64 contested by the property owners and therefore the council is being asked to make an <br /> 65 official determination. <br /> 66 The council received more information on allowable uses in residential and rural areas. <br /> 67 <br /> 68 The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 69 <br /> 70 These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on <br /> 71 December 13, 2010. <br /> 72 <br /> 73 / \ <br /> 74 <br /> 76 u i. e Bartell, 1 ity erk Jeff ei , Mayor <br /> 77 <br /> 2 <br />
