This chapter is divided into two sections; goals and strategies <br />and the development plan. Goals and strategies address <br />both the softscape (programs, marketing and operations) <br />and the hardscape, or physical improvements to the <br />Wargo Nature Center site and building. The development <br />plan provides more detail on the recommended physical <br />improvements that are needed to support enhanced <br />programs and operations. <br />VISION <br />The prevailing vision for Wargo Nature Center's future is <br />to increase visits to the nature center, improve the visitor <br />experience, and promote greater program participation. Six <br />goals and associated strategies for physical improvements, <br />marketing, programs, and operations are identified that <br />work to achieve this vision. <br />Wargo Nature Center Master Plan - March 2015 <br />Goals <br />#1 Increase awareness of Wargo Nature Center <br />and County -wide outdoor recreation and <br />environmental education programs and events <br />#2 Increase connectivity to Wargo Nature Center <br />#3 Improve the entry experience and sense of <br />welcome, from CSAH 14 to the building <br />#4 Increase programming around 'Essential <br />Experiences': Water Access, Access to four <br />Ecotypes, Birding, and Tree House (Outdoor <br />Classrooms) <br />#5 Improve the drop-in visitor experience <br />#6 Better serve current core program audiences <br />and expand new program audiences <br />#7 Improve financial sustainability <br />Chapter 4: The Plan 31 <br />
