Planning & Zoning Board <br />October 11, 2017 <br />Page 3 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br /> Mr. Stoesz asked if the City has JPA’s set up with the Blaine intercept <br />and other intercepts <br /> Mr. Christensen stated that this is slightly different because the <br />City would be using the White Bear Township trunk sewer <br />system <br /> Major Improvement Expected: District 5 <br />o Currently unsewered <br />o New residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed use development expected <br />o Future wastewater flows will likely discharge to existing MCES Lino Lakes <br />Relief Interceptor, located at City boundary along Washington County <br />Highway 8 – Interceptor projected to have sufficient capacity for full build out <br />flows <br /> Discussion <br />o Chair Tralle asked if sewer district 3 will be able to accommodate Watermark <br /> Mr. Christensen stated that it will be able to <br /> Mr. Grochala stated the City has penciled out the existing layout and <br />falls in sewer district 3 <br />o Mr. Stoesz asked how a meter is measured and what it looks like <br /> Mr. Christensen stated that the meters are located in a gravity sewer or <br />forcemain and there a different types of meters <br />o Mr. Evenson asked where we are at on an onsite septic inspection program <br /> Mr. Grochala stated it is contained in our program now and inspect <br />new septic installations but have not established a point of sale <br />inspection <br /> Chair Tralle stated he understands the State requires a certificate of <br />compliance when you sell your home <br /> Mr. Evenson asked if the City was planning to inspect on an ongoing <br />basis <br /> Mr. Grochala stated the City requires a licensed inspector to do City’s <br />inspections <br /> <br /> Water Supply Plan, Jonathan Christensen with WSB <br /> Goals & Policies <br />o The City of Lino Lakes Water System goal: Provide the City’s residents and <br />businesses with affordable potable water that is safe and of high quality for <br />daily consumption and fire demand <br />o Policies supporting the goal <br /> Provide a low-maintenance, cost-effective water system that meets the <br />long-term needs of the City’s residents and business <br /> Provide adequate water pressure for all residents and business <br /> Continue working with adjacent communities to provide a cooperative <br />water system for emergency services <br /> Provide water service for developing areas in a planned manner by <br />constructing new mains, water towers, wells, and water treatment <br />plants
