The project costs and funding are as follows: West Shadow Lake Drive Watermain and Sanitary Sewer Summary of Costs Assessments Trunk Funds Total Sanitary Sewer Improvements $337,101.60 $126,456.00 $463,557.60 Watermain Improvements $706,292.40 $407,418.00 $1,113,710.40 TOTAL $1,043,394.00 $533,874.00 $1,577,268.00 Watermain and Sanitary Sewer assessments for the West Shadow Lake Drive Area were calculated by dividing the cost of the watermain and sanitary sewer each by the total number of existing units and subdividable units on the project. The combined per unit assessments for sanitary sewer and water are as follows: $4,617.83 + $9,675.24 = $14,293.07 per unit LaMotte The proposed watermain improvements within the LaMotte Area include extending an 8” diameter watermain along LaMotte Drive and LaMotte Circle. The system would be served by water from the City of Centerville, and owned and maintained by the City of Lino Lakes. The project costs and funding are as follows: LaMotte Area Watermain Summary of Costs Assessments Trunk Funds Total Watermain Improvements $358,815.60 $127,875.00 $486,690.60 The per unit assessment was calculated by dividing the cost of the watermain by the number of parcels on the project. The special assessment for the watermain is: $9,442.52 per unit A survey was sent out to the property owners in the neighborhood on November 29, 2017 to determine interest in the extension of municipal water. The results are as follows: Total Number of Surveys Sent: 38 Total Number of Responses: 20 Total Number of “Yes” Responses: 4 Total Number of “No” Responses: 16 The details and results of the survey are provided in an attachment to this report.
