COUNCIL MINUTES
January 22, 2018
APPROVED
- Proposed project schedule.

Council Member Stoesz asked about a delayed connection (such as someone connecting in Year 12)
and impact on how long someone would pay. Ms. Hankee said the cost would be whatever the city
charges for connection are at that time.

Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing.

Ms. Hankee presented a comment that was submitted in writing. Richard and Emily Biske, 1559
LaMotte Circle (letter on the file). Mayor Reinert recalled that in the past the issue of connection
would be forced by the city with certain road improvements. That situation has been reconsidered
and the forced element is no longer present. When a road is improved is decidedly a good time to
install utilities but he doesn't believe in pushing things on people. He doesn't see the interest here.

Joe Cameron, 1572 LaMotte Circle. He feels the neighborhood doesn't want water. Will a petition
be required? Ms. Hankee said she's received a few calls from the LaMotte area for the petition form.
Within 60 days the neighborhood can submit a petition.

Bernard Ward, 1549 LaMotte Drive. He is vehemently opposed to the water improvement. He
agrees with the roadway. To put water in where people don't want it is foolish. He will sign the
petition and he feels the overwhelming majority of residents do not want the water. They have great
water.

There being no one else present wishing to speak, the public hearing was closed at 7:49 p.m.

6C) SS Properties Addition/All Seasons Rental (7932 Lake Drive) Drainage and Utility
Easement Vacation — City Engineer Hankee reviewed the written staff report. This a requested
second reading of the ordinance. Council Member Stoesz asked there has been any phone calls or
other communication in opposition to this vacation; Ms. Hankee said no.

i) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 0148, Vacating Drainage and Utility
Easement for Lot 1, Block 1 of Pine Glen

Council Member Rafferty moved to waive the full reading of Ordinance No. 014 8 as presented.
Council Member Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the 2nd Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 01-18 as
presented.
