COUNCIL MINUTES <br />February 26, 2018 <br />46 <br />47 February 5, 2018 Closed Council Session Minutes Approved <br />48 <br />49 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />50 <br />51 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br />52 <br />53 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />54 <br />55 There was no report from the Administration Department. <br />56 <br />57 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />58 <br />59 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />60 <br />61 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />62 <br />63 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />64 <br />65 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />66 <br />67 6A) Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation- City Engineer Hankee reviewed her written report <br />68 outlining the ordinance and the request to approve 2nd reading and adoption. She reviewed the area <br />69 of the easement and purpose (construction of a deck). Staff is recommending approval of the <br />70 vacation and therefore adoption of the ordinance. <br />71 <br />72 Council Member Rafferty asked if a pool would be possible at the same location. Ms. Hankee said <br />73 such a request would have to be carefully studied, including with the utility company. It would be a <br />74 difficult undertaking. <br />75 <br />76 Council Member Stoesz asked if a future shed would require additional approval and Ms. Hankee <br />77 said yes. She added that decks are specially considered for easement coverage because it is structure <br />78 that is considered removable. <br />79 i) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 02-18, Vacating Drainage and Utility Easement Lot <br />80 159 Block 2 of NorthPointe 2❑d Addition <br />81 Council Member Rafferty moved to waive full reading of the ordinance. Council Member Maher <br />82 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />83 Council Member Manthey moved to approve the 2nd Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No 02-18 as <br />84 presented. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 5; Nays none. <br />85 ii) Consider Resolution No. 1846, Approving Summary Publication of Ordinance No. 0248 <br />86 Council Member Manthey moved to approve Resolution No. 18-16 as presented. Council Member <br />87 Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />
