COUNCIL MINUTES March 13, 2017 <br />DRAFT <br />1 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES 1 <br />MINUTES 2 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br />DATE : March 13, 2017 5 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 6 <br />TIME ENDED : 7:03 p.m. 7 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Rafferty, Kusterman, Maher, 8 <br /> Manthey, and Mayor Reinert 9 <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : none 10 <br /> 11 <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael 12 <br />Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell 13 <br /> 14 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT 15 <br /> 16 <br />Jennifer Gramse, resident of Circle Pines, explained her involvement in the PowerPack food 17 <br />assistance program and remarked on the assistance given to the program by Mini Mobile and Bald 18 <br />Eagle Erectors. She is supportive of the companies and requests that the council be supportive of 19 <br />their request to the city (Agenda Item 6A). 20 <br /> 21 <br />The council asked what the City can do to encourage other local businesses to support the PowerPack 22 <br />program. Ms. Gramse said the local paper has covered the initiative and will do so again. Other 23 <br />ideas discussed were information on the city web page and communication through the city cable 24 <br />channel. 25 <br /> 26 <br />SETTING THE AGENDA 27 <br /> 28 <br />The agenda was approved as presented. 29 <br /> 30 <br />CONSENT AGENDA 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Maher moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1A, 1D and 1E as presented. 33 <br />Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1B and 1C as presented. Council 36 <br />Member Manthey seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.
