COUNCIL MINUTES March 13, 2017 DRAFT 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES 1 MINUTES 2 3 4 DATE : March 13, 2017 5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 6 TIME ENDED : 7:03 p.m. 7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Rafferty, Kusterman, Maher, 8 Manthey, and Mayor Reinert 9 MEMBERS ABSENT : none 10 11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael 12 Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell 13 14 PUBLIC COMMENT 15 16 Jennifer Gramse, resident of Circle Pines, explained her involvement in the PowerPack food 17 assistance program and remarked on the assistance given to the program by Mini Mobile and Bald 18 Eagle Erectors. She is supportive of the companies and requests that the council be supportive of 19 their request to the city (Agenda Item 6A). 20 21 The council asked what the City can do to encourage other local businesses to support the PowerPack 22 program. Ms. Gramse said the local paper has covered the initiative and will do so again. Other 23 ideas discussed were information on the city web page and communication through the city cable 24 channel. 25 26 SETTING THE AGENDA 27 28 The agenda was approved as presented. 29 30 CONSENT AGENDA 31 32 Council Member Maher moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1A, 1D and 1E as presented. 33 Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 34 35 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1B and 1C as presented. Council 36 Member Manthey seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.
