This could be a booth a Blue Heron Days
or another community event.
1.8. Work with City staff and partner consultant to develop a
communication plan. Elements of the Plan will include:
x Meeting in a Box. We will prepare a meeting in a box toolkit
as a way to meet people where they are and engage residents/
businesses in the process. Meeting in a box is a self-guided
and individually hosted workshop that can be facilitated by
any organization or neighborhood group in the privacy of one’s
home. While it is called meeting in a box, it is simply a toolkit
containing a survey or discussion questions provided to facilitators
electronically or by mail. The kit will contain everything needed for
organizations to host their own discussions, including instruction
sheets for facilitators, discussion questions, and worksheets
for participant responses. The hosting organizations send the
materials back to the City to incorporate responses into community
workshops and policy documents.
x Work with staff to prepare a communication plan that incorporates
a city-wide mailer and four newsletters. Materials and questions
posed at meetings will complement or utilize WSB’s “MySidewalk”
tool.
Task 2) Plan Development and Adoption
2.1.
