4 CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 17-83 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS 2018 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (WEST SHADOW LAKE AND LAMOTTE AREAS) WHEREAS, the City proposes to undertake certain street reconstruction and related upgrades of the storm water management system for West Shadow Lake Drive, Sandpiper Drive, Shadow Court, LaMotte Drive, and LaMotte Circle in the City’s Five-Year Street Reconstruction Plan (2017-2021) (the “WSL and LaMotte Improvements”); and WHEREAS, the City adopted the 5 Year Street Reconstruction Plan (2017-2021) on June 12, 2017 and no petition was received requesting a vote on the plan and issuance of the bonds, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the City to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the City to also prepare plans for water and sanitary sewer improvements, for consideration, in conjunction with said street improvements, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. WSB and Associates, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. 2. City staff is authorized to execute a professional services agreement with WSB and Associates, Inc., in the amount of $506,220.00. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14th day of August, 2017.
