CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: February 13, 2017 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Annual Appropriation for Yellow Ribbon Network <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council is being asked to consider a resolution that establishes an annual <br />appropriation of $500 for Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Last October the City Council approved a $500 contribution for Lino Lakes Beyond the Yellow <br />Ribbon to obtain its 501(c)(3) designation. <br /> <br />The City Council has expressed interest in providing City funds on an annual basis to help the <br />organization with its mission of connecting military personnel and their families with the help <br />they need. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 17-14 would establish an annual appropriation of $500 each budget year until <br />by Council action the funding is rescinded, raised, or reduced. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 17-14, establishing an annual appropriation of $500 for the Lino <br />Lakes Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 17-14 <br />
