He briefly reviewed the list and recalled t hat the council 69 <br />discussed the appointments at their recent work session. 70 <br /> 71 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the appointments as presented. Council Member Stoesz 72 <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. 73 <br /> 74 <br />3B) Appointment of Katie Larsen to City Planner position – Administrator Karlson explained 75 <br />that staff is requesting appointment of a new city planner to fill a vacant position. The individual he 76 <br />is presenting for appointment, Ms. Katie Larsen, was chosen from a large pool o f good candidates. 77 <br /> 78 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the appointment of Katie Larsen to the position of City 79 <br />Planner. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on unanimous voice vote. 80 <br /> 81 <br />3C) Resolution No. 13 -04, Defining Counci l Members as Employees for Purposes of the 82 <br />Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA) – Administrator Karlson noted that the 83 <br />council discussed and reviewed this matter at their recent work session. Language within the 84 <br />resolution has been clarified si nce that discussion. He added that the subject of the resol ution is data 85 <br />practices and its purpose is to define council members as employees only for consideration of the 86 <br />MGDPA. The city attorney has opined that all that is needed is a resolution for suc h definition. 87 <br /> 88 <br />Council Member Roeser moved to approve Resolution No. 13 -04 as presented. Council Member 89 <br />Rafferty seconded the motion. 90 <br />2
