COUNCIL MINUTES January 14, 2013 <br />DRAFT <br /> 91 <br />Council Member O’Donnell indicated that he is not in favor of the resolution. He said that he had 92 <br />indicated his conce rns on the implications of the resolution when it was discussed at the council work 93 <br />session. 94 <br /> 95 <br />Mayor Reinert commented on court decisions on the impact of the MGDPA and how they wrong ly 96 <br />place elected officials in this position. 97 <br /> 98 <br />Council Member Roeser anno unced that he has closely reviewed the resolution and he feels it 99 <br />appropriately is very narrow in its scope. He said he also understands that the matter will be hear d by 100 <br />the Minnesota Supreme Court and he sees that Lino Lakes is in the lead with this move and 101 <br />appropriately so. 102 <br /> 103 <br />The motion was adopted on a voice vote. Council Member O’Donnell recorded as voting “no”. 104 <br /> 105 <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT 106 <br /> 107 <br />There was no report from the Public Safety Department. 108 <br /> 109 <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT 110 <br /> 111 <br />There was no rep ort from the Public Services Department. 112 <br /> 113 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT 114 <br /> 115 <br />6A) Resolution No. 13 -02, Environmental Board Goals for 2013 – Environmental Coordinator 116 <br />Asleson briefly reviewed the goals established for 2013. The council requested and Mr. Asleson 117 <br />provided additional information on the community garden program. 118 <br /> 119 <br />Council Member O’Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 13 -02 as presented. Council Member 120 <br />Roeser seconded the motion.
