COUNCIL MINUTES June 24, 2013 <br />DRAFT <br />1 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES 1 <br />MINUTES 2 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br />DATE : June 24, 2013 5 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:35 p.m. 6 <br />TIME ENDED : 7:35 p.m. 7 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council M ember Stoesz , O’Donnell, Rafferty , 8 <br /> Roeser , and Mayor Reinert 9 <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : 10 <br /> 11 <br />Staff me mbers present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson ; Finance Director Al Rolek; City Engineer 12 <br />Jason Wedel; City Planner Katie Larsen ; Chief of Police John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell 13 <br /> 14 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT 15 <br /> 16 <br />John DeHaven, 1612 Birch Street, asked about plans for the city -owned land that was proposed for a 17 <br />recreation center. Mayor Reinert recalled discussion and actions related to the land going back to 18 <br />1998 or 1999. He explained the difficulties that have made it difficult to move on a project and what 19 <br />is c urrently being discu ssed. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Kevin Ryan, no address given, indicated that he has been working with a business on a landscaping 22 <br />plan and it has met with city concerns. He would like an exemption for the project. The mayor 23 <br />recommended that Mr. Ryan compile his concerns, present them to city staff and then the council 24 <br />could consider the matter(s) at a future work session. 25 <br /> 26 <br />SETTING THE AGENDA 27 <br /> 28 <br />The agenda was approved as presented. 29 <br /> 30 <br />CONSENT AGENDA 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Roeser moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Ite ms 1A through 1F, as presented . 33 <br />Council Member O’Donnell seconded the motion.
