Charter Commission <br />October 12, 2017 <br />Page 3 <br />90 <br />91 Commissioner Johnson asked if there are some single-family homes excluded from the Charter. <br />92 <br />93 Chair Dahl agreed that there are a few homes that are outside of the Charter area. <br />94 <br />95 Commissioner Bretoi asked the reason the Charter Commission decided to leave the properties in <br />96 the exempt zone. He believed that the Commission was willing to do an amendment but the City <br />97 was no longer interested because there were attempting to abolish the Charter. He estimated that <br />98 this was about five years ago. <br />99 <br />100 Commissioner Lyden agreed that was the consensus of the Commission and the City was going <br />101 to attempt to abolish the Charter during a past election. <br />102 <br />103 C. Approval of March 30, 2017 Minutes <br />104 MOTION by Commissioner Juni, seconded by Commissioner Vanderpoel, to approve the March <br />105 30, 2017 meeting minutes as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br />106 <br />107 NEW BUSINESS <br />108 <br />109 Chair Dahl noted that the Commission is accepting applications for the vacant positions on the <br />110 Commission. <br />111 <br />112 Commissioner Johnson noted that he will not be reapplying when his term expires at the end of <br />113 the year.
