He stated that a feasibility study was completed in 2007, in conjunction with a development <br />proposal, for the connection which identified necessary right-of-way acquisition. The proposed <br />project would provide both a transportation improvement as well as potential economic <br />development opportunities on the adjacent properties. Mr. Grochala explained that the City had <br />recently been contacted by one of the property owners interested in selling their property to the <br />City. <br />EDAC members were supported pursuing the opportunity unanimously. <br />C. Project Updates <br />Mr. Grochala provided an update on ongoing projects: <br />• Lennar likely to begin grading on the Watermark project, working through permitting <br />with the City and Rice Creek Watershed District. <br />• City received a plat application for Eastside Villas, a 32 lots subdivision. <br />• City received a CUP for Lino Lakes Storage to be located in the Marshan Industrial Park. <br />• Lyngblomsten working on plans, expect submittal in October. <br />• 2040 Comprehensive Plan update might be brought to EDAC in November. <br />• City is considering a Comprehensive Plan amendment to modify the land use and utility <br />staging along the east side of 35E. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 A.M. <br />
