COUNCIL MINUTES <br />October 8, 2018 <br />APPROVED <br />83 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />84 <br />85 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />86 <br />87 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />88 <br />89 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />90 <br />91 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />92 <br />93 6A) West Shadow Lake Drive: i. Consider Resolution No. 18-127, Accepting bids, Awarding <br />94 a Construction Contract; ii. Consider Resolution No. 18428, Approving Construction Services <br />95 Contract with WSB & Associates — City Engineer Hankee reviewed her written report and <br />96 recommendations. Staff is pleased to be presenting the results of the bid process for this project and <br />97 recommending acceptance of a bid that includes two alternates; she noted the low bid and its relation <br />98 to the engineer's estimate. Staff is also requesting authorization to execute a construction services <br />99 agreement with WSB & Associates for this project; she reviewed the services covered under the <br />100 contract. She also noted the proposed project schedule. <br />101 Council Member Stoesz asked if the project comes with a warranty. Ms. Hankee said there will be a <br />102 two-year warranty, beginning upon completion of the work. <br />103 <br />104 Council Member Maher moved to approve Resolution No. 18-127 as presented. Council Member <br />105 Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />106 <br />107 Council Member Manthey moved to approve Resolution No. 18428 as presented. Council Member <br />108 Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council Member Rafferty abstained. <br />109 6B) Consider Resolution No. 18429, Approving Grading and Trunk Utility Agreement, <br />110 Saddle Club 4th Addition, City Engineer Hankee explained the location of the 41h Addition of the <br />III Saddle Club. Staff has reviewed the grading plans and is recommending approval of an agreement <br />112 covering the work. <br />113 <br />114 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 18429 as presented. Council Member <br />115 Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />116 6C) Public Hearing: Consider 11t Reading of Ordinance No. 1548, Vacating Drainage Utility <br />117 Easement at 6499 Lakota Trail - City Engineer Hankee reviewed her written report outlining the <br />118 request for vacation of certain drainage and utility easements associated with the Love to Grove <br />119 Project. <br />120 Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing. <br />121 Mary McNellis, consultant with Love to Grow On project, noted that she is present to answer <br />122 questions. <br />123 There being no one else present wishing to speak, the public hearing was closed. <br />124 <br />3 <br />
