CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 5A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 24, 2018 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 18-125, Amending Sprint Spectrum L.P. <br />Lease Agreement - Water Tower #1 <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council approved the existing lease agreement with Sprint Spectrum L.P. to operate <br />telecommunications equipment on the water tower located at 7470 Fourth Avenue via Resolution <br />No. 17-140 at the December 11, 2017 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Sprint Spectrum has since contacted City staff requesting modifications to Section 14 - Insurance <br />and Section 17 - Utility. <br /> <br />The City Attorney and staff have reviewed the proposed amendments and have no objections. <br />Attached is the proposed Water Tower Lease Agreement including the new language. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 18-125. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 18-125 <br />Water Tower Lease Agreement <br />Lease Agreement Amendments-Sections 14 and 17 (Existing vs. Amended)
