<br /> <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BASE BID AND ALTERNATES 1 AND 2 <br />AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2018 West Shadow <br />Lake Area Street and Utility Improvement Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br />Geislinger & Sons $4,940,636.57 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $5,712,174.78 <br />RL Larson Excavating, Inc. $5,552,842.97 <br />Park Construction Company $5,813,831.52 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Geislinger & Sons is the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Geislinger & Sons in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2018 <br />West Shadow Lake Area Street and Utility Improvement Project according to the plans <br />and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of October, 2018. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_______________and was duly seconded by Council Member ________________ and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
