The
tower will be a composite style elevated water tower with a storage capacity of 1.5 million gallons
(MG). Continued growth and increased water demands have resulted in the need for additional
elevated storage.

The location for Water Tower No. 3 has been identified on City-owned property near Birch Street
and Centerville Road. The project will include grading of City Property to balance the overall site in
coordination with the Parks Department plan enclosed. The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost for
the water tower project from the study phase is $4,494,350.

Our Work Plan consists of the following major tasks:

I. Preliminary Design Services
II. Final Design Services
III. Bidding Services

I. PRELIMINARY DESIGN SERVICES

a) Meet with City staff to review and obtain information needed in the Design Phase. Items
discussed will include the site layout, logo, optional site features, scheduling of
connecting water mains, SCADA functions, and any other features the City may want to
include. Other amenities that the City may have an interest in include a second floor
inside the base of the tower to house telecommunication equipment as well as conduit
raceways and support brackets for coaxial cables.

b) Provide initial site surveying and staking as necessary.

c) Review soil borings and the geotechnical report (Notes: These tasks are currently being
done under the Water Storage Feasibility Study project).
