ORDINANCE NO. 14 THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, MAKING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SAME. The Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, does ordain as +oilows: SECTION 1 There is hereby established in the Village of Lino Lakes a volunteer police department consisting of a chief end such other police officers as nay be deemed necessary. SECTION 2. The officers of the police department shall be appointed by the village :ouncil on the recommendation of the chief of police. Any officer may be removed by the council at its discretion. :SECT I ON 3. The police chief shall have control over the department. He shall report to the council at tis regular meetings as to the needs of the 4spnrtment and work performed by the members of the department. He shall Le responsible for the proper training and discipline of the members of the police department and may suspend any member for refusal or neglect to obey orders pending final action by the council on his discharge or retention. 'FCT I ON 4. The members of the police department shall enforce the ordinances and statutes applicable to the village bring violators before the justice of rice of said village, and make complaints against such person or persons offenses committed coming to their knowledge. The members of the police rpartment shall serve processes on behalf of said village and shall serve !7,,Jch notices as may from time to time be required by the council.. Said Gfficers shall be entitled to the same fees as provided by the general statutes ;or conttabies for the said village, and all such fees shall be paid to the v`Rtage treasurer of said village.
