►1s9 ORDINANCE NO. 22 THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES AN ORDINACE ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR LAND IMPROVEMENTS AND STREET CONSTRUCTION PROVIDING SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND USE OF CERTAIN MATERIALS AND PROVIDING FORTHE MANNER IN WHICH IMPROVEMENTS AND CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE COMPLETED IN THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, MINN. The Village Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota ordains: SECTION 1. PURPOSE AND JURISDICTION Pursuant to the applicable statuatory authority of the Village of Lino Lakes to regulate, control and maintain Village streets as provided in Minnesota Statute 412.221, as amended, the following regulations and apecifications including the exhibit or exhibits hereto established. The specifications set forth herein shall apply to all streets hereafter constructed within the Village of Lino Lakes and are considered as additional safeguards made necessary through the rapid growth and expansion of the Village. SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS For the purpose of this ordinance certain words and terms are hereby defined as follows: Specifications. A detailed statement of particulars. A detailed description setting forth the dimensions, materials, workmanship and general conditions under which any given type of construction is to be undertaken and carried forward by a contractor for the Village of Lino Lakes. Village. Is the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. Village Council. The duly elected governing body of the Village consisting of Mayor, Clerk, and three trustees. Village Engineer. A Registered Civil Engineer appointed by the Village Council to furnish engineering services in connection with any Village work. The term also shall include his authorized representatives. Right-of-way. Is the land covered by a public road or other land dedicated for public use or for certain private use such as land over which a power line passes. Sub -base. Is the part of the road bed to be constructed between and elevation which is three (3) inches below the profile grade. Sub -grade. Is the top of the sub -base which is an elevation three (3) inches below the profile grade. Base. The top three (3) inches of the driving surface of the street being that part which is to be stabilized with a bituminous material. Profile grade. Is the grade shown on the profile which accompanies the plans for the project. It is the proposed finished grade for the street. Driving surface. Is the grade width of roadway lying between the two (2) gutter lines as. constructed. Stabilized base. Is the top three (3) inches of the driving surface as specified in this ordinance stabilized using an asphaltic material. Village Standard. Is the typical plan, cross-section or detail of construction which is approved by the Village Council of Lino Lakes, for all construction of similar nature.
