►1s9 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 22 <br />THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES <br />AN ORDINACE ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR LAND IMPROVEMENTS AND STREET CONSTRUCTION <br />PROVIDING SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND USE OF CERTAIN MATERIALS AND PROVIDING <br />FORTHE MANNER IN WHICH IMPROVEMENTS AND CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE COMPLETED IN THE VILLAGE <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINN. <br />The Village Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota ordains: <br />SECTION 1. PURPOSE AND JURISDICTION <br />Pursuant to the applicable statuatory authority of the Village of Lino Lakes to regulate, <br />control and maintain Village streets as provided in Minnesota Statute 412.221, as amended, <br />the following regulations and apecifications including the exhibit or exhibits hereto <br />established. The specifications set forth herein shall apply to all streets hereafter <br />constructed within the Village of Lino Lakes and are considered as additional safeguards <br />made necessary through the rapid growth and expansion of the Village. <br />SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS <br />For the purpose of this ordinance certain words and terms are hereby defined as follows: <br />Specifications. A detailed statement of particulars. A detailed description <br />setting forth the dimensions, materials, workmanship and general conditions under which <br />any given type of construction is to be undertaken and carried forward by a contractor <br />for the Village of Lino Lakes. <br />Village. Is the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />Village Council. The duly elected governing body of the Village consisting of <br />Mayor, Clerk, and three trustees. <br />Village Engineer. A Registered Civil Engineer appointed by the Village Council to <br />furnish engineering services in connection with any Village work. The term also shall <br />include his authorized representatives. <br />Right-of-way. Is the land covered by a public road or other land dedicated for <br />public use or for certain private use such as land over which a power line passes. <br />Sub -base. Is the part of the road bed to be constructed between and elevation <br />which is three (3) inches below the profile grade. <br />Sub -grade. Is the top of the sub -base which is an elevation three (3) inches <br />below the profile grade. <br />Base. The top three (3) inches of the driving surface of the street being that <br />part which is to be stabilized with a bituminous material. <br />Profile grade. Is the grade shown on the profile which accompanies the plans for <br />the project. It is the proposed finished grade for the street. <br />Driving surface. Is the grade width of roadway lying between the two (2) gutter <br />lines as. constructed. <br />Stabilized base. Is the top three (3) inches of the driving surface as specified <br />in this ordinance stabilized using an asphaltic material. <br />Village Standard. Is the typical plan, cross-section or detail of construction <br />which is approved by the Village Council of Lino Lakes, for all construction of similar <br />nature. <br />
