To help guide development of urban and rural areas along an <br /> orderly design to preserve continuity and efficiency of service. <br /> To provide a method by which the urban farm can be guided so as <br /> to control urban sprawl and still conserve land in an economic <br /> status until such time as the need is present for an amendment <br /> to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> To reduce the possibilities of rural-urban conflicts in estab- <br /> lishing types and levels of service, methods of financing the <br /> services and needs. (To maintain an acceptable per capita cost <br /> for such services as sanitary sewer, water, police, fire, road <br /> maintenance, school transportation, and others is a necessity.) <br /> The minimum land area for any (A) District shall have at least <br /> five (5) acres of land and the minimum lot width at the street <br /> shall be at least three hundred (300) feet. <br /> Permitted Uses-In an Agricultural (A) District, no building or land <br /> shall be used or divided and no building shall be erected, converted, <br /> or structurally altered, unless otherwise provided herein, except for <br /> one or more of the following uses: <br /> (A) Any use permitted in the R-1 Residence District. <br /> (B) General Farming, gardening or sod farms. <br /> (C) Commercial greenhouses and nurseries. <br /> (D) Permanent stands for the sale of agricultural products produced <br /> on the premises. (These stands are to be constructed according <br /> to set-back rules and regulations.) <br /> (E) Stock raising and dairying. (Hog raising and handling shall be <br /> in accordance with rules and regulations established by the <br /> Village Council. <br /> (F) Golf Courses. <br /> (G) Airports, cemeteries, wild game farms, and gun clubs, any of <br /> which shall require a special use permit to be issued by the <br /> Village Council. <br /> 6.03 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> These districts are designed and intended to aid in guiding development <br /> towards fulfillment of the Comprehensive Plan and to serve the follow- <br /> ing functions:; <br /> To provide within the community a variety of lot sizes. <br /> To provide a choice of physical sites on which to develop a home- <br /> 101 stead and thus to permit individuals to have a choice as to density <br /> desired. <br /> -19- <br />
