than twenty (20) percent of the depth of the lot. <br /> (B) The setback for dwelling accessory buildings shall be not less <br /> than five (5) feet from the rear lot line where no alleys are <br /> plotted and not less than four (4) feet where alleys are plotted. <br /> (C) Where a garage is located in the rear of the lot, not less than <br /> twenty (20) feet behind the dwelling, such garage may be built so <br /> that no portion thereof is less than one (1) foot from the side <br /> lot line, except that on a corner lot a thirty (30) foot setback <br /> from the street side shall be the minimum. <br /> 6.06 ALL MULTIPLE-FAMILY DISTRICT <br /> This district is intended to provide a variety of settings for multiple- <br /> family housing in areas which have good access to major thoroughfares, <br /> are properly related to other uses and are accessible to major activity <br /> centers, recreation areas, public transit and convenient shopping <br /> facilities. No construction shall be permitted in this district without <br /> public sanitary sewer and water. <br /> Structure Land Coverage- The area covered by any structure, or <br /> structures, shall not exceed 35% of the <br /> total land area. <br /> Green Area - At least 35% of the site area shall be <br /> retained for and devoted to green grass, <br /> open space, or landscaped area. <br /> Permitted Uses-In all Multiple-Family district unless otherwise pro- <br /> vided in this code, no building or land shall hereafter be erected, or <br /> structurally altered except for one or more of the following uses: <br /> (A) All uses permitted in R-1 and R-2, except single family dwellings, <br /> duplexes or double bungalows unless specifically authorized by <br /> the Village Council. <br /> (B) Multiple dwellings as set forth in Sections R-3, R-4, R-5 and <br /> P.U.D. , setting forth the classifications of such dwelling by size <br /> and by type. Any privilege to conduct business in multiple dwell- <br /> ing structures shall be limited to such business use as the Council <br /> may authorize at the time of approval of construction plans and <br /> specifications. <br /> (C) Clubs, lodges, fraternity and sorority houses which do not offer <br /> public accommodations. <br /> (D) The following uses pursuant to special use permit granted by the <br /> Council on application and hearing as provided in this code: <br /> 1. Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other buildings <br /> used for treatment of human ailments. <br /> 2. Philanthropic and charitable institutions. <br /> -23- <br />
