ORDINANCE NO. 57 <br />id, <br />VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY. <br />The Village Council of Lino Lakes ordains: <br />Section 1. Establishment: The Lino Lakes Commission on Environmental <br />Quality is hereby established. <br />Section 2. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to establish <br />a commission which will aid and be advisory to the Village Council <br />of the Village of Lino Lakes in its efforts to encourage productive <br />and enjoyable harmony between man and his environment; to promote <br />efforts which will prevent or eliminate damage to the environment <br />and stimulate the health and welfare of man; to enrich the under- <br />standing of the ecological systems and natural resources important <br />to the Village; and to insure a lasting quality of life within the <br />Village of Lino Lakes. <br />Section 3. Definitions: <br />A. "Village". As used in this ordinance, "Village" refers to <br />the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />B. "Commission". As used in this ordinance, "Commission" <br />refers to the Lino Lakes Commission on Environmental Quality. <br />C. "Council" or "Village Council". As used in this ordinance, <br />"Council" or "Village Council" refers to the Village Council <br />of the Village of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />Section 4. Short Title: The commission created and established by <br />this ordinance may be referred to as the Lino Lakes Commission on <br />Environmental Quality. <br />Section 5. Composition: The Commission shall consist of five <br />members. Each member of the Commission shall be a resident of the <br />Village of Lino Lakes. <br />Section 6. Appointment and Compensation of Members: The members of <br />the Commission shall be appointed by a majority of the Council and <br />shall serve without compensation. <br />-283 <br />
