For testing 1/2 inch to 2 inch meters $ 5.00 <br />For testing 3 inch meters 10.00 <br />For testing 4 inch meters 20.00 <br />For testing 6 inch meters 30.00 <br />(6) All water meters shall be and remain the property of <br />the Village. <br />(7) Authorized Village employees shall have free access at <br />reasonable hours of the day to all parts of every building and <br />premises connected with the water system for reading of meters <br />and inspections. <br />SECTION 32. Deposit. Each user shall pay to the Village a <br />deposit, before connecting to the municipal water system, of a <br />sum of $35.00, or a sum equal to 6 months of anticipated water <br />usage, whichever is larger. Such sum shall be returned to such <br />user upon his discontinuance of municipal water service if the <br />user's obligation for water service has been met; if a balance <br />remains owing, such sum shall, after 30 days after such discon- <br />tinuance, be applied to such obligation. <br />SECTION 33. Water Meter Setting. All water meters hereafter <br />installed shall be in accordance with the following rules: <br />(1) The service pipe from the water main to the meter, when <br />the same enters the building, shall be brought through the floor <br />or bottom course of concrete block of foundation. <br />(2) The meter shall be located so that the bottom is from <br />12 inches to 24 inches above the finished floor line. <br />The meter shall be set out not more than 12 inches measured <br />horizontally from the inside line of the basement wall, unless an <br />alternate method is approved by the Plumbing Inspector. <br />(3) All meter installations shall have a stop and waste gate <br />valve .on the street side of the meter. In no case shall there be <br />more than 12 inches of pipe exposed between the point of entrance <br />through the basement floor and the stop and waste valve. A stop <br />and waste gate valve shall also be installed on the house side of <br />the meter. All fittings and pipe to be red brass, or bronze. Gate <br />valves shall be brass 125 pounds standard. <br />SECTION 34. Use of Fire Hydrants. No person other than <br />authorized Village employees shall operate fire hydrants or inter- <br />fere in any way with the water system without first obtaining a <br />permit to do so from the Village as follows: <br />
