(6) The plumber shall notify the Village within 24 hours <br />after piping is complete and ready for meter installation, giving <br />street address and permit number. <br />(7) Water billing shall start at the time of installation <br />of the water meter or, in the event the meter is not installed, <br />seven days after completion of outside piping, and shall be cal- <br />culated upon the minimum quarterly rate, pro -rated on a monthly <br />basis. <br />SECTION 19. Service Charges. <br />(1) A permit must be obtained to connect to the existing <br />water service leads at the curb box, and interior plumbing. The <br />fee for the permit shall be $10.00 for each application; in the <br />event one application is made for both connections, the total <br />charge shall be only $10.00 ► said fee may be changed by the <br />Village Council by resolution. <br />(2) Additional charges shall be paid at the time of making <br />application for tapping and making connections with the water mains <br />where a curb box and service lead is not installed, which charges <br />shall be as follows: <br />(a) In case the installation is to be in an unsurfaced <br />street: <br />3/4 inch service connection $ 150.00 <br />1 inch service connection <br />$ 175.00 <br />This charge shall include the tapping of the water main, the <br />installation of the service line, and the installation of the <br />curb stop and box. <br />The sums listed in this subsection may be changed by the Village <br />Council by resolution. <br />(b) In case the installation is to be upon a surfaced <br />street, the following shall apply: <br />There shall be a fee of $ 75.00, or such sum as set <br />by the Village Council by resolution, for restoration <br />of a typical road -mix bituminous street, in addition <br />to the charge in (a) above, and for restoration of a <br />higher type street, such fee as will be set by the <br />Village Engineer; all back fill materials shall be <br />mechanically compacted in 12" layers to the density <br />of the adjacent material in the roadway area, in <br />accordance with Minn. Highway Dept. standard specifi- <br />cations to the existing street grade. <br />
