(b) The casing shall be filled with sandy soil from the <br />bottom to a point eight feet (8') from the top; <br />(c) The remaining eight feet (8') shall be filled with <br />concrete to the floor level and the well casing cut <br />off as close to the floor level as possible; <br />(d) The owner or occupant must advise the Plumbing <br />Inspector within thirty (30) days from the date of <br />inspection that the well has been sealed. <br />SECTION 16. Use of Water for Air Conditioning. All air <br />conditioning systems which are connected directly or indirectly <br />with the public water system must be equipped with water conserving <br />and water regulating devices as approved by the Village Engineer. <br />SECTION 17. Permits Required for Air Conditioning. Permits <br />shall be required for the installation of all new air conditioning <br />systems to the public water system. Said permits shall be on <br />forms as provided by the Village. <br />Water Connections <br />SECTION 18. Applications. <br />(1) All applications for service installations and for water <br />service shall be made to the Clerk -Treasurer on printed forms <br />furnished by the Village. <br />(2) All applications for service installations shall be made <br />by the owner or agent of the property to be served and shall state <br />the size and location of service connection required; the applicant <br />shall at the time of making application, pay to the Village the <br />amount of fees or deposit required for the installation of the <br />service connection as hereinafter provided. Applications for ser- <br />vices larger than one inch (1") shall be accompanied by two sets <br />of plans, or sketches, indicating preferred location of service <br />pipe and size of service based on building demand. <br />(3) When service connections have been installed, application <br />for water service may be made to the Clerk -Treasurer either by the <br />owner, agent, tenant or occupant of the premises. <br />(4) The size of water service connections and meters shall <br />be subject to approval of the Village Engineer. <br />(5) For all meters up to and including 1 inch size, a meter <br />spacer with tailpiece couplings will be furnished to the contractor <br />or plumber, at the time a connection permit is issued. Meter spacers <br />will be picked up when the Village installs meter after completion <br />of water service installation. <br />
