ORDINANCE NO. 57A CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION ON PARKS, RECREATION AND ENVIRONMENT. The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, ordains: Section 1. Establishment: The Lino Lakes Commission on Parks, Recreation and Environment is hereby established. Section 2. Purpose: The purpose of this Ordinance is to establish a Commission which will aid and be advisory to the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes in its efforts to encourage productive and enjoyable harmony between man and his environment; to promote efforts which will prevent or eliminate damage to the environment and stimulate the health and welfare of man; to enrich the understanding of the ecological systems and natural resources important to the City; and to improve and insure a lasting quality of life within the City of Lino Lakes. Section 3. Definitions: A. "City". As used in this Ordinance, "City" refers to the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. B. "Commission". As used in this Ordinance, "Commission" refers to the Lino Lakes Commission on Parks, Recreation and Environment. C. "Council" or "City Council". As used in this Ordinance, "Council" or "City Council" refers to the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. Section 4. Short Title: The Commission created and estab- lished by this Ordinance may be referred to as the Lino Lakes Commission on Parks, Recreation and Environment. Section 5. Composition: The Commission shall consist of seven (7) members. Each member of the Commission shall be a resident of the City of Lino Lakes. Section 6. Appointment and Compensation of Members: The members of the Commission shall be appointed by a majority of the Council and shall serve without compensation.
