ORDINANCE NO. 57A <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION ON PARKS, RECREATION AND <br />ENVIRONMENT. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, ordains: <br />Section 1. Establishment: The Lino Lakes Commission on <br />Parks, Recreation and Environment is hereby established. <br />Section 2. Purpose: The purpose of this Ordinance is to <br />establish a Commission which will aid and be advisory to the City <br />Council of the City of Lino Lakes in its efforts to encourage <br />productive and enjoyable harmony between man and his environment; <br />to promote efforts which will prevent or eliminate damage to the <br />environment and stimulate the health and welfare of man; to enrich <br />the understanding of the ecological systems and natural resources <br />important to the City; and to improve and insure a lasting quality <br />of life within the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Section 3. Definitions: <br />A. "City". As used in this Ordinance, "City" refers to <br />the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />B. "Commission". As used in this Ordinance, "Commission" <br />refers to the Lino Lakes Commission on Parks, Recreation <br />and Environment. <br />C. "Council" or "City Council". As used in this Ordinance, <br />"Council" or "City Council" refers to the City Council <br />of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />Section 4. Short Title: The Commission created and estab- <br />lished by this Ordinance may be referred to as the Lino Lakes <br />Commission on Parks, Recreation and Environment. <br />Section 5. Composition: The Commission shall consist of <br />seven (7) members. Each member of the Commission shall be a resident <br />of the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Section 6. Appointment and Compensation of Members: The <br />members of the Commission shall be appointed by a majority of the <br />Council and shall serve without compensation. <br />
